On March 23, 2020, Governor Phil Murphy signed Executive Order No. 109, directing the suspension of all elective surgeries and invasive procedures that are scheduled to be performed on adults after 5 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2020.
Dentists who participate in the Horizon Dental Choice (HDC) plan must submit monthly encounters for services provided to HDC patients. Dentists receive $2 per encounter, paid on a quarterly basis.
Horizon Dental reminds dentists that services for accidental dental injuries are usually covered under the patient’s medical, not dental, plan, and will be processed according to the medical plan benefits.
